You're The Deciding Witness

Given March 15, 2003
"One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. Deuteronomy 19:15". One person could not accuse another in olden times and get a conviction. Two witnesses had to agree before the matter could be established.

I get a picture of a scenario that shows what this verse means. Picture yourself standing before a judge sitting behind a high desk. There is a matter before the judge relating to your health. On one side, the devil says you're in poor health. On the other side, the Word of God says, "...with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5". The judge looks at you and says, "This witness says you're sick and this witness says you're healed." I can't decide either way from the mouths of these witnesses. It's your choice, you are the deciding witness. Which one are you going to agree with?"

Could it be that in matters such as this that WE are the deciding witness? The devil is always going to be the witness contrary to the Word of God. God's word is the true witness. Which one are we going to believe? Which one are we going to speak out of our mouth, to confess?

In the scenario, if we say, "I believe the Word of God, I'm healed!" The judge pounds his gavel and declares, "The matter is established. Two witnesses say he's healed, so he's healed. Court dismissed." What does the Word of God say about your situation? Don't listen to the lies of the devil and certainly don't agree with him!
